Meet Clementine

Our Lonely Little Artist

Clementine is ALWAYS lost in her sketchbooks, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to make friends. She's just terrible at it. So she Frankensteins her own doodle to life. And thus the Monster appears!

But he's a big softie really. And his favorite thing in the whole world is having tea parties with Clementine. That is until... he discovers there's a whole world beyond Clementine's backyard. Even beyond planet Earth!

Now the only question is: is Clementine ready to let the Monster go?

The Road So Far

Our Work

The Monster and Me was born out of an NYU Producing for Animation class that brought Amelie, the Writer/Director/Producer, and Alicia, the Lead Animator/Executive Producer together. We dived deep into Development and were even able to pitch to Matīss Kaža, the Writer/Producer of the 2025 feature animation Oscar winner, Flow.

Since then, we've been balancing The Monster and Me with a full-time job for Amelie and a full-time class course-load for Alicia. It's a lot of work, but it's something we're so passionate about that we're ready for it to take over our lives until May of 2026 (animation takes a while!). We're so excited to see Clementine and the Monster come to life. But we need your help.
